Trevinna is a Dunghutti woman who was born and raised in Kempsey.

She now lives Port Macquarie with her loving partner of almost eight years and their seven year old son.

Trevinna has always felt passionately about working and had experience in retail and hospitality industry. She joined Real Futures in the hopes of securing a career for herself to better support her little family.

Real Futures was able to negotiate a Business Administration Traineeship in the Community Services Industry. She has been loving the role for three months now.

Although new to the industry and business administration in general, Trevinna has welcomed the challenge and says she enjoys her new job.

Successfully finding employment has boosted her confidence, and made her feel better about herself. She is not only learning new things every day but meeting new people, learning new skills and enjoying different experiences every day. She loves knowing that everything she is doing is benefiting her future for her and her family.

When asked to describe her time so far as an Aspirant of Real Futures, Trevinna said “Real Futures are great. With every bit of help or any questions I had, they were always there to assist.

“They would call me regularly to check up on things to see how I was doing with the job hunting and organising interviews. Since becoming employed they were a great helping hand with gifting me with a starter pack that provided me with very useful and helpful stuff to get me started. I can’t thank them enough.”

She feels the things she is learning as part of her traineeship will help her to one day achieve her goal of one day becoming a wedding planner, running and owning her own business in the industry.
