On the 18th of October, PPS officer and Training Alliance lecturer Phill, took the students to Main Roads
office for an information session to inspire them and motivate to complete the course and to learn about the opportunities that the Main Roads has to offer.
Main Roads offers flexible and rewarding careers that supports a healthy work life balance to help employees. They are looking for candidates with experience in construction and maintenance to support the local region, as well as managing road networks. There are number of opportunities for on the ground operational workers. Main Roads also encourage non skilled or non ticketed aspirants to apply for the position.
The organisation is willing to train and support the green employees to gain the skills
and tickets required on the job, as long as they are willing and eager to learn and committed to work.
Many of the Real Futures aspirants had completed the application for employment online.
