Parent Pathways is a free service offering personalised coaching and financial support to eligible parents and carers of children up to the age of 6 years.
It is centered around the individual needs of parents, carers and their families.
Our mentors will help you to set and achieve your personal, study and work goals through a tailored goal plan.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR PARENT PATHWAYS PROGRAM?
Parent Pathways is for parents and carers who have a child aged under 6, are not in paid employment and live in an area where there is a Parent Pathways provider.
You must also be receiving either a Parenting Payment, Carer Payment or Special Benefit.
You will also be eligible if you are not getting a Centrelink payment, and are either:
Under 22 years old
An early school leaver (parents who don’t have a year 12 qualification)
A First Nations parent or carer
WHAT SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE?
Through in person, over the phone or online mentoring sessions, our Parent Pathways mentors will help you find activities, services and training that meets your needs.
Some services will include:
Language or literacy programs
Support to find a childcare centre and help with childcare costs
Referral to supports such as financial information services or family and domestic violence support services
Career guidance
Training
Our service is voluntary and flexible. You can choose to join, leave, take a break and come back at any time. If you do attend in person, your children are always welcome!
