After a few weeks of organising the Hospitality Service Skills Set a five-day course where job seekers were unable to attend, we ran a three day course in October. Nine people arrived on the Monday to attend the training.
- A coffee that was made by the participants of the Barista course in Denham.
- Our Trainer Govert Naber who had travelled from Geraldton TAFE with a participant in the Barista Course.
Everyone enjoyed the course and learnt new skills. Many hope to use their new barista skills to find employment.
- Donna struggled a bit with the theory, Real Futures and Govert helped Donna overcome her fears and she did really well in the course.
- Naleisa was happy to have a go at making her first coffee a Latte.
- This is Vicki having her first go at using the coffee machine, Vicki has never worked in a café and hopes maybe her employer may wish to do coffee for customers attending Mini golf where she works.
- Govert looking happy with Tinka during her training.
- Tinka who has recently become unemployed is happy to be learning something new, she is also happy to see Govert has catered for vegans.
- Real futures provided lunch and morning tea for the attendees over the 3-day course.
A big thank you to Govert Naber from Geraldton TAFE for conducting Barista training in Denham for our community.
