Jacy is in his dream job

Jacy is in his dream job, connecting with country and land in a role he’s truly passionate about.

He joined the Transition to Work program in April 2025, and our team got to work supporting his job readiness. Together, we focused on:

  • Building his foundations: crafting a resume, preparing for interviews, and setting clear employment goals
  • Financial literacy: completing our Making Sense of Cents workshop
  • Independence: obtaining his driver’s licence toaccess more opportunities

With a deep passion for connecting with country, Jacy secured a role with Western Mulga — a 100% Aboriginal owned and operated company delivering conservation services. Our team stayed closely involved, providing ongoing mentorship as he grew in confidence and experience.

That role proved to be the perfect stepping stone. Jacy went on to secure a Trainee Park Ranger position with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, where he is now thriving.

Jacy is proactive, driven, and committed — already working on his fitness to meet the physical demands of the role.

We’re proud to walk alongside young folks like Jacy, building careers that are meaningful to them.
