Jindi Jindi Nana’s Group is a not-for-profit Aboriginal group that have started a second-hand op shop that puts money back into the local community.
Recently they were told their lease would not be renewed. They were stuck for a place to go to that wasn’t going to cost them more in rent then what they could make. It started to look like they would not be able to find a new location and the fear of having to close was looming.
Then a local businessman came to their rescue with a shop front that was not only a nicer building but a much better location. With only days to leave the old location the Real Futures team stepped in to help with heavy lifting and the reassemble of the shelving and racking.
“The new shop layout looks amazing. The Nana’s group do a great job helping the community and repurposing old items.”
