The CDP, and associated Trialling Pathways to Real Jobs, are a Federal Government initiative to create employment and training opportunities for Indigenous Australians living in remote communities.
They coach our clients to set their goals and support them towards achieving them.
In support of finding employment, we facilitate training and certifications to ensure our clients have the appropriate skills, tickets and certificates to be employed in the job of their choice.
We partner with local employers to share job opportunities and assist our clients with their resumes, applications and interviews.
Once employed, we provide post-placement support to ensure our clients are happy and sustain their employment.
Our Gascoyne teams run impressive community projects and training initiatives for their clients.
Community projects are all about building skills and creating tangible outcomes, while displaying community and cultural pride. For many of our clients, joining the community projects team is a stepping stone towards employment.
Some examples of their innovative projects include the Jardilunji Mia Cafe, Real Futures Plantation, Burringurrah fuel station and store, and renovating Cardabia Station for a solar eclipse event.
We are also proud to work in partnership with The Shire of Carnarvon on local restorations and beautification projects as well as developing spaces for the whole community.
This includes building the Carnarvon Art Hub and running regular workshops, cleaning up the skate park and restoring the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct at One Mile Jetty.
