Tarlia, one of our Transition to Work participants from Geraldton, WA, recently secured her first job as a Retail Team Member at Spotlight.
Our team supported Tarlia by helping her build confidence, independence and job readiness.
This included:
- Connecting her with the Driver Safety Workshop, delivered alongside Remote Services from the Department of Transport. Tarlia successfully gained her learner’s permit, giving her more independence to pursue work opportunities.
- Referring her to Dress for Success WA, where she received guidance on professional presentation and built confidence for job interviews.
Tarlia is now working towards her next goal: securing a hairdressing apprenticeship.
Our Transition to Work team will continue supporting her as she takes the next steps towards this dream.
