Our Western-Sydney office recently partnered with Georgiou and Sydney Metro to host a 4 week long program that would train aspirants in the construction field and launch them into their dream careers. 10 opportunities were available for work on various projects within Sydney metro, with successful graduates of the project guaranteed a job!
We had 21 aspirants attend the program information session. There they were able to meet employers from Georgiou and Sydney Metro, as well as get detailed information on the 17-day program that could launch them into their chosen career. After the session, individual interviews were held by the employer to make sure they were the perfect fit for the program – and secure a place in long-term employment.
Over the 17-day program, our Aspirants attended Nirimba TAFE for theory classes and practical studies. They also attended Sydney Metro construction sites for an in-depth look at their field and first-hand experience of working on site.
A big congratulations to all those who graduated! We had an amazing success rate, with 80% of our aspirations now going on to full-time work with Sydney Metro!
As an added bonus, we are now working with Sydney Metro on 8 more apprenticeship opportunities for our aspirants to step in to over the coming months! These apprenticeships will not only secure them ongoing long-term employment, but also an opportunity to explore and obtain a trade in their chosen field. This is an amazing partnership that will go on to help many more of our aspirants.
