Wellbeing and support

Your wellbeing matters

At Real Futures we are connected to the local communities where we work, and passionate about helping the people, families, communities, business owners and individuals we work with each day.

This includes going above and beyond to help you if you’re seeking work, to provide culturally appropriate support and ensure your wellbeing is attended to.

We know that our Mob likes to meet face-to-face, and when we first meet, we will sit down and have a proper yarn, whether that’s in the Real Futures office or somewhere else of your choice. We want to yarn so we can understand who you are, what your connections and your aspirations are.

Culturally appropriate tools

We use culturally appropriate tools to assess your strengths and your barriers, and we talk with you to find out what inspires and motivates you as well as what is holding you back.

From there we develop a mentoring and support plan so we can help you address any barriers and get job-ready. This could include:

helping with getting a birth certificate
help with transport, driver’s licence, or public transport card
maybe finding culturally appropriate childcare.

Whatever you need, we will support you

Whatever you need, we will support you, or point you to someone who can, from our wide network of support services.

Once we have found you a job, you will continue to have post-placement support, with contact every fortnight – perhaps more often if needed.

We care about your health and wellbeing, and are here to support you every step of the way.
