A young local man came to the attention of our Real Futures team recently who going through a very difficult time. Homeless and troubled, our team went into action providing short term accommodation and arranging counselling services. Whilst Jade from our office and Shelley from drug and alcohol counselling services assisted in obtaining photo ID, the young man in return worked on the restoration project of an antique table for the arts room.
Now back in his home, with his self esteem and confidence growing the young mans state of mind has vastly improved over the last month and is responding well knowing that he has the continued support of the Real Futures team. It was extremely satisfying to see such a wonderful result by helping someone to restore their sense of purpose and just giving a help hand!!
