NAIDOC Week Flag Ceremony in Carnarvon

On Monday the of 4th July was the start of the NAIDOC Celebrations in Carnarvon.  The first event was the Annual NAIDOC  March.

The Ladies from WB2C (Women’s Business Second Chance Hub) in Carnarvon created two banners for this year’s NAIDOC theme  “Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up”

This is the first time that Nikkoy, Tiarna, Elizabeth, Kelsey, Regina, Iesha have participated in this event as per photo’s these Ladies are so proud & honoured to showcase their Banner which they all worked hard in completing

Iesha was the nominated spoke person from the Women’s Business Second Chance Hub to present a speech on behalf of the hub. The Ladies requested to have the floor at the opening to showcase the Women’s Business Second Chance Hub in Carnarvon.

The Ladies from Women’s Business Second Chance Hub in Carnarvon had many compliments from community members on how far they have come with their self-esteem, confidence, and participation as a group in community events.  All the ladies involved are moving forward and hitting each milestone for the future.

Sean Challis The Regional Manager of Real Futures was nominated by the NAIDOC Committee for his work within the community to raise the Australian flag during the event. Sean was honoured to do this on behalf of Real Futures.
