The Shire of Carnarvon has a new General Services Officer and his name is James!
James plays an essential part in maintaining and enhancing community infrastructure—work he takes great pride in.
When James came to Real Futures, we helped him gain his driver’s licence. This opened opportunities for him to a wider range of job opportunities.
James began building his career through a workplace trial at Cardabia Station, where he gained valuable experience in the construction industry.
Recognising his potential and drive, Real Futures supported him in developing further skills to expand his career options.
James successfully completed a series of nationally recognised training courses, including:
- High Risk Work
- Work Safely at Heights
- Forklift license
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
Motivated to grow even further, James pursued his interest in civil construction and earned his civil machinery tickets. To round out his skill set, he also completed a five-week Heavy Rigid (HR) truck training program in April, equipping him with additional qualifications highly valued in the workforce.
