On Tuesday 13th of September the Real Futures Women’s Hub had a community event.
The event was also a class assessment for our Community Services Certificate lll – WB2C class.
Part of this assessment was to set up a community event and they would be marked on it throughout the day. The class chose to highlight the anniversary of the United Nations Human Rights Council of Indigenous peoples, which is why we had representatives from the class talk about this monumental day.
They also invited the elders from Baabayn Aboriginal Corporation to come along and share their wisdom and insight on this day.
It was a lovely day connecting with others and learning about others journeys.
