In September 2020, my Job Provider contacted me to discuss a job opportunity coming up in Aboriginal Homecare.
I got a phone call from Mel at Real Futures regarding a Real Futures – Mob Day. The day was very helpful as it helped me become job-ready with all the onboarding essentials like a Police Check, First Aid, and COVID training.
The day gave me firsthand experience of what to expect in the role, I got to meet the employers to get a feel of what their company was about.
In five years I see myself being more financially stable and in a better position to provide for my mum, younger sister and myself.
The Mob Day was an amazing experience, and it made me feel comfortable with the team before the interview. This really took the pressure off.
A few hours after the interview I received a call to say I was successful, I got the position!
