The Real Futures team has been instrumental in guiding the wider Angus Knight Group (AKG) in developing the 2021 – 2023 Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). The RAP runs across all AKG’s businesses, underscoring a commitment to Closing the Gap in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment in Australia. At the centre of the RAP is a vision of building strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices into our decision-making and the continuing empowerment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team members around the country.
The Angus Knight Group RAP provides the team with a deeper understanding of its sphere of influence and establishes the best approach to advance reconciliation. This RAP focuses on connecting, unifying, and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, and stakeholders. We encourage all our team to actively live by our core value ‘we respect and value all people’ through engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation and providing innovative and inclusive strategies to build clear pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This RAP has been prepared by our RAP Working Group, the team comprises of 8 team members across the business with the majority being of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
